Since 1941, the Fort Worth Museum of Science and History has been a magical place for imagination, innovation and first-hand learning.  Founded by a group of school teachers who had a vision to create a special place where children could learn more about the natural world and their place in it, the Museum is neither city-owned nor the beneficiary of a primary philanthropic contributor.  The Museum considers every person in our community a shareholder.  Our Museum is your Museum!

Exhibit admissions and fees generate about half of the income required to operate the Museum and its programs.  The remaining half is provided by the generosity of individuals, corporations and foundations who appreciate the Museum’s unique role in addressing our community’s diverse educational needs.

What do contributed dollars really do?

  •  $25 supports five student field trip visits

  • $100 provides supplies for an after-school program for minority youth

  • $500 supplies a week’s worth of art and technology materials to Innovation Studios

  • $2,500 sends professional educators and exhibit components to a school-based community festival

Please offer your support of the Fort Worth Museum of Science and History by sending a gift today!  To make a gift or for more information, please call the annual giving office at 817-255-9367
