FORT WORTH STOCK SHOW ART CONTEST ENTRIES

Animals aren’t the only thing being shown at the 2012 Fort Worth Stock Show & Rodeo!

The Fort Worth Museum of Science and History is honored to be one of three locations to showcase student entries from the 2012 Star-Telegram Stock Show Art Contest. All placing art will be on display in the Amon G. Carter Exhibit Hall during the Fort Worth Stock Show & Rodeo, Jan. 13 – Feb. 4, 2012. Middle School and Elementary qualified entries will be displayed at the Museum of Science and History and High School qualified entrees will be at the National Cowgirl Museum and Hall of Fame.

The competition, open to students ages 5-18, presents an opportunity to showcase artistic abilities and offers students a chance to win awards, college scholarships or cash prizes in excess of $20,000. This year’s contest features five age divisions for individual entries, three classroom divisions for two-dimensional entries, and a newly added three-dimensional division for students in High School.

During the 2012 Fort Worth Stock Show & Rodeo, admission to the Fort Worth Museum of Science and History exhibits and the Star-Telegram Stock Show Art Contest is included with Stock Show admission. The Fort Worth Stock Show & Rodeo and Fort Worth Museum of Science and History are proud to honor and recognize young artists.
