Girls in Engineering Day
February 22nd 10:00-4:00 pm

Your Girl Scouts will have many opportunities to interact with real engineers through engaging challenges and activities. Build towers and things that fly, explore electricity, and dissect electronics. Complete a passport of activities and receive engineering goodies. Appropriate for Brownies, Juniors, Cadettes, Seniors and Ambassadors. No registration necessary, simply purchase your tickets at the Museum Ticket Office and look for the Girls and Engineering Day table to grab your passport.

Science is all around you and what better place to be a scientist than a science museum?  Spend the afternoon creating cool concoctions, exploring acids and bases and playing with static electricity.  You will receive the Home Scientist badge at the end of the workshop.  To register, go to the Girl Scouts of Texas Oklahoma Plains website.

Join us for and exciting afternoon of archeology.  Girls will get to dig into the past, uncovering important clues that help them piece together an ancient story.  They will get to learn about the science of archeology as well as experience the Indiana Jones exhibit at the Museum.  Girls will receive a Museum Patch.  To register, go to the Girl Scouts of Texas Oklahoma Plains website.


Wizards and Weather
Brownies

Come and experience the Wizard of Oz exhibit here at the Fort Worth Museum of Science and History.  Girls will learn about the severe weather that we experience locally in the North Texas region.  They will also get to explore the Wizard of Oz Children’s exhibit and create a tornado to take home with them.  Each girl needs to bring two 1 liter bottles.  Girls will receive a Museum Patch.  To register, go to the Girl Scouts of Texas Oklahoma Plains website.
