The Museum creates original exhibits that open in Fort Worth then travel to children's and science museums across the nation, seen by millions. Current traveling exhibits include Joshua's Journey, Risk!, and CSI: The Experience.
MEMBERSHIP SALES ASSOCIATE
Part-Time Employment
The Fort Worth Museum of Science and History seeks highly-motivated, friendly, outgoing individuals for our Membership Sales Associate Team. We are building a team of Sales Associates to generate enthusiasm for our new membership program. Members of this team will be responsible for promoting membership, completing membership sales and providing assistance to current and prospective members and to Museum visitors. Part-time, 20 hours per week, must be available on weekends, shifts will be available from 9:30 am to 5:30 pm. Pay is hourly plus commission. Hours may be increased or reduced based on Museum attendance (not to exceed 1000 hours in a calendar year). Must be available to work week of Thanksgiving and week of Christmas. We are closed on Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.
Basic Function and Responsibilities including but not limited to:
Primary duty is promoting and selling memberships using a variety of techniques
Actively approaching, greeting and advising Museum visitors in an effort to increase membership sales in a friendly and helpful manner.
Answering membership questions and providing information about the Museum
Check in current members, renew prior members and provide general member services as needed.
Process all memberships sold onsite in Patrons Edge
Maintain organization of membership materials and report when inventory is running low.
Communicate with the Membership Manager and Membership Coordinator to keep updated on all membership policies and procedures
Assist Guest Services staff as needed.
Qualifications:
Proven sales abilities and history of providing excellent customer service
Friendly, outgoing; positive attitude and high-energy
Listen and communicate effectively with co-workers, volunteers, supervisors, other Museum staff and the guest.
Be polite and helpful to guests.
Able to work effectively in a team; punctual and reliable.
Proficient in English; bilingual skills an asset.
Able to be flexible under a variety of circumstances; diplomatic and decisive.
