PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT
Texas Center for Inquiry
The Fort Worth Museum of Science and History is the home of the Texas Center for Inquiry. Since the Center began we have served over 1,000 educators throughout the state of Texas. We offer three institutes during the summer:
Introduction to Inquiry: Professional Development Design
This institute is for science supervisors, staff developers and teacher leaders in position to train and support educators in their district.
Building Capacity for Classroom Inquiry
Pre-requisite: completed Introduction to Inquiry
This institute is the second part of Introduction to Inquiry: Professional Development Design.
Teaching Science through Inquiry
This institute is designed for the classroom teacher who would like to learn more about inquiry-based education and how to implement it into their classroom.
Saturday Educator Workshops
Our Saturday Educator Workshops will return this school year! We are excited to bring you a host of new opportunities. Workshops are fee-based and advance registration is necessary. The workshops are SBEC certified; TEKS aligned and support TAKS learning objectives. Field experiences, history and astronomy are among some of the topics that will be offered this year.
